Hazel Priestley

Having worked with the NHS for a number of years, Hazel became interested in alternative therapies, and was amazed at the effectiveness of the ancient art of acupuncture.

She studied at the University of Lincoln where she completed her BSc (Hons), qualifying as a practitioner of acupuncture. Hazel then travelled to China to work with traditional Chinese therapists in Nanjing. Returning to England, Hazel became a Member of the British Acupuncture Council, and is now a registered practitioner based in the beautiful city of Salisbury.

In 2009 Hazel extended her knowledge of acupressure massage by completing a certificate course in Tui Na, and can offer this either as a stand-alone treatment, or to complement acupuncture sessions

Acupuncture

Thought to have originated in ancient China, acupuncture is the technique of inserting and manipulating fine needles into specific points on the body to restore health and natural balance. Recognised for its holistic value and its particular effectiveness in relieving pain, it is one of the more popular complementary therapies to have reached the western world.

Acupuncture is a holistic approach to health based on over 2000 years of developments in the Far East, focusing on improving the overall well-being of the patient by stimulating the body's own healing response in a gentle yet effective way.
