Sports Massage

Sports Massage involves the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of the muscles, ligaments and tendons of the body. Whether you are prone to aches and pains, have recent or longstanding injuries or suffer from arthritis or other joint problems, Sports Massage could be the answer to your problems.

Sports massage focuses on releasing tight muscles and restoring them to their optimum condition and helps to alleviate the stress and tension that builds up in the body. Where minor injuries occur due to over exertion or overuse, sports Massage can break them down effectively and works to improve the flexibility in the muscle, preventing further injury.

Regardless of age, whether you exercise or play sport to keep fit, or compete from club to international level, then Sports Massage has something to offer you.

James' treatments are not simply a deep tissue massage, he uses a variety of stretching and releasing techniques to make the massage more effective.

All James’ massage treatments are tailored and specific to each individual. Where appropriate all clients undergo a personal assessment to try and understand whether their pain or problems are actually a result of a muscle or postural imbalance elsewhere. In this way he is able to address any immediate problems and offer advice on how to make a permanent improvement.

Do I have to do sport to be able to come for a Sports Massage?

NO. The name Sports Massage Therapist sometimes gives the wrong impression as my DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE can be used to help general aches and pains caused by simple everyday life activities. Many clients do not take part in sport and come for problems such as arthritis or muscle tightness caused by spinal problems or Fibromyalgia, or injuries caused by picking up heavy objects."

£40 - 1 hour treatment

£55 - 90 min full body deep tissue massage
