Sports Massage

Sports Massage involves the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of the muscles, ligaments and tendons of the body. Whether you are prone to aches and pains, have recent or longstanding injuries or suffer from arthritis or other joint problems, Sports Massage could be the answer to your problems.

Sports massage focuses on releasing tight muscles and restoring them to their optimum condition and helps to alleviate the stress and tension that builds up in the body. Where minor injuries occur due to over exertion or overuse, sports Massage can break them down effectively and works to improve the flexibility in the muscle, preventing further injury.
Regardless of age, whether you exercise or play sport to keep fit, or compete from club to international level, then Sports Massage has something to offer you.

Nikki's treatments are not simply a deep tissue massage, she uses a variety of stretching and releasing techniques to make the massage more effective.

"I often am asked, 'do I have to do sport to be able to come for a Sports Massage'. The answer is most definitely NO! The name Sports Massage Therapist sometimes gives the wrong impression as my DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE can be used to help general aches and pains caused by simple everyday life activities. Half of my clients do not take part in sport and come for problems such as arthritis or muscle tightness caused by spinal problems or Fibromyalgia, or injuries caused by picking up heavy objects."

£38 - 1 hour treatment
£50 - 90 min full body deep tissue massage

Massage during Pregnancy

Massage during pregnancy provides relaxation to relieve the stress and anxiety that pregnancy may cause. It helps to alleviate pain in the back, neck and shoulders caused by your changing posture as well as enhancing the supply of nutrients and oxygen to the baby. Massage can also help relieve the discomforts of heartburn, nausea and vomiting. Simple exercises can be given to help strengthen the mother for the labour process. Fathers can also attend a session to learn techniques for massaging his partner during labour.
Nikki is now combining her experience in pregnancy massage with Mama Mio products to bring you 'A Mama's Touch Maternity Spa treatments.  Find out more..

What my clients say:

“Having a regular massage during pregnancy with Nikki was fantastic and something I really looked forward to. The sessions helped me relax as well as easing my sickness, achy hips and cramps in my calves. I continued with the massages until days before the birth, and now I can't wait to get back for a post-pregnancy session!!!!”
